Everyone at some point is going to be dealing with skin tags. These are small, outer growths on the skin. When skin has friction, it will cause a great deal of collagen to push through, where the dermis rises to a thick tag. This plateau is not dangerous, and is mostly cosmetic. These things occur around the eyelids, armpits, and even around the pubic area. Anywhere the body has a crease, fold, or skin that rubs against itself may have a tag grow out. There are some individuals that may be prone to skin tags, especially those that are gaining or losing weight swiftly, have HPV, diabetes, or are genetically predisposed to getting tags due to heredity. In some cases, irritation due to allergic reaction may be the case, as well.

This will help cut off the blood flow to the tag, and you can cut it with a pair of tweezers or scissors. However, they need to be sterilized, that’s the most important thing about this process. If the items are sterile, you can technically do this. Once you’ve cut the tag, you’ll need to apply antibiotic lotion, and a band aid. It will heal swiftly.
