A professional can diagnose the issue, and prescribe medications that can calm the irritation and remove the tags. They can also remove the tags surgically in the office, without much discomfort or pain. It is advisable that you do not scratch, touch, itch, or rub skin tags even if they hurt. This will not help them at all. Dealing with sensitive or painful tags requires medical attention.
